Traveling with Bitcoin Update

Picture from Shift Card Website

So recently we started using the shift card and thought we would update everyone on how it has gone for us.

The greatest part about using it is that the bitcoin has been going up, and since the balance is connected to CoinBase the balance has also risen. Here is a list of tests that we have tried and the results of each one.

1. Withdraw Cash from the Bank ATM - It has worked without any issues but the fees are charged from the bank and from shift. So this should only be used when you really have too.

2. Using as a debit card at restaurants, grocery stores, and other point of service as gone very well and with any issues.

3. Getting cash back when from a grocery store is the cheapest way to get cash, and there was no fee on any side of the transaction. We think you should consider this.

4, Using card as a credit card has also gone well and on a single occasion the transaction did not go through but the bitcoin was returned to the card.

All in all we are very happy with the use of this card and think it should be considered for USA travelers. Soon we will test out the bitpay card and also use these overseas to test as well. We hope to update everyone here on how it goes, and what international fees are charged.

Happy Travels.
