Kim Dotcom has announced the launch of the beta version of Megaupload 2.0 and Bitcache.

Micro-transactions come to uploading

The well-known New Zealand entrepreneur Kim Dotcom has said that the file sharing service Megaupload 2.0 and microtransactions Bitcache will be available for the closed beta from August. He wrote this on Twitter today:

Micro-transactions everywhere

Recall this was originally planned to launch as a service in January, but at the last moment was postponed. In April, Kim Dotcom posted a video of the file sharing service Megaupload 2.0 and micro-transactions Bitcache working in unison.

Earlier, Kim Dotcom said that he would allow others to monetize Bitcache for online services, including online news sites. He also believes the service will be very popular, and that micro-transactions will find a huge audience and help the wider dissemination of Bitcoin.

This all follows on from the micro-transaction browser Brave which has also entered the market with its BAT token.
