Daily Groovy: Satoshi Nakamoto Quote – “Sorry to be a wet blanket”

“Sorry to be a wet blanket. Writing a description for this thing for general audiences is bloody hard. There’s nothing to relate it to.” Posted on the Satoshi Nakamoto Institute July 5th, 2010.

He seems frustrated trying to explain things to the general public.
“If you don’t believe me or don’t get it, I don’t have time to try to convince you, sorry.” (July 29, 2010)

Satoshi Nakamoto’s native language is code, but he left us a few warnings in plain Engish.
“I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.” (February 14, 2010)

Bitcoin will either be colossal in 20 years or become nothing. Today the blockchain is being used for personal information storage, healthcare, electricity and even in the automobile industry. But considering Satoshi’s words we may also find the possibility no volume of Bitcoin transaction in 20 years.

The second warning is practical and also gives us a clue that Satoshi is still hanging on to his wallet today.

“Sigh… why delete a wallet instead of moving to aside and keeping the old copy just in case? You should never delete a wallet.” (October 10, 2010)

And if you do lose your wallet don’t worry:

“Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.” (June 21,2010)

I will end this blog with a song from the Eagles: "Take it Easy"

Enjoy^^
