This good news is reaching us curtesy of the Kenyan Wall Street, an organization that is promoting business in the region especially online.

Here’s what they had to say in their tweet yesterday 11th May 2018.

According to eye witnesses, the machine is installed at Kenrail Towers, third floor in Westlands - Nairobi.

A lot of people have so far gone online to express their gratitude to the Kenyan government for facilitating the introduction of the first ever Bitcoin cashing business in the Great Lakes region and generally in the whole Subsaharan part of Africa.

Here’s how bitcoin ATM machines look like when installed anywhere else in the world. (Sample pictures from google).

What to expect next...

I personally feel happy for this piece of news and I hope other countries of Africa will do the same in order to facilitate the introduction and wider use of the Blockchain Technologies on the continent.

Additionally people may be able to physically and openly buy and sell Cryptocurrencies against their fiat currencies. They will also be able to buy currency gift cards like it’s done for Google play and iTunes gift cards in many supermarkets and shops around the world.

Big up to #Kenya for this great move.
Time to cash out #steem dollars against #bitcoin (in Westland Nairobi).

For those who are in #Uganda you can change your crypto currencies at Post office counter no. 25 on Kampala road (for Bitcoin, ETH, etc).

People using #steemit if they cannot get a steemian cho can change for them then the next option is to go through other popular & readily tradable cryptos in order to cash out.
