The BitShares Blockchain Foundation (BBF) initiates the Blockchain Academy Project which aims to provide the BitShares Testnet to students for educational purposes.
Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands is the first university to team up with BBF to participate in the project. The main objective of the Blockchain Academy is to familiarize students with the possibilities of the BitShares Blockchain. Possible research topics range from working on market making strategies and the application of UIAs and MPAs, to build APIs and develop products on top of the BitShares Blockchain to help expand the functionality of the Blockchain. By making students acquainted with the BitShares Blockchain, we intend to stimulate them to become future ambassadors of the network. Saxion is the first use case to show the possibilities of such a collaboration, motivating other universities worldwide to use the Blockchain Academy is an enhancement of their curricula.
