Yesterday's event was held at the front yard of my late father's old house.
13 January 2018
Charity work is wonderful. January 13, gifts and snacks were given out to children and adults alike, courtesy of the Children's Ministry.
It is a non-profit organization with the goal of helping and feeding kids in all of the Philippines. Mrs Chit Sikat never fails to revisit her old hometown, which is our tiny barrio.
She says that she owes a lot of her blessings and confidence in life to her experiences in our small barrio.
The Global Grins
With the partnership with globalgrins.org, the Children's Ministry was able to distribute free toothbrushes to more than 20 children and adults in our barangay.
More than 20 toothbrushes were distributed, also thanks to Global Grins Organization.
The snacks
I think this was the children's most favorite part: the snacks.
Everyone got to enjoy ice cream despite the cold weather.
A couple of snacks were pre-packaged into a single plastic and ice cream and biscuits were served yesterday despite the cold weather.
The clothes
Also their favorite was the distribution of free clothing shipped all the way from New Jersey. It was melting my heart to see the kids enjoy their new shirts.
The clothes were shipped all the way from the other side of the world, and the children loved them!
To more charity events in the future
I love the idea of giving, and seeing it firsthand makes me feel truly blessed. I would like to express my big thanks to Ate Chit for never forgetting our barrio and its people, and for bringing the Children's Ministry to our place since as early as 2009.
