Not much to say today.
Other than I finished the first draft of a novel I've been working on!
WOOP WOOP!
Okay, sure it's scrappy and needs a rewrite.
Sure characters may change. Events may be rearranged. Stuff might not make sense. Elements may be downright stupid. That alien sticking a Tuba up its fleeblegox might be downright wrong.
But that's what first drafts are about.
They're about getting the words down onto the page.
Remember, perfection is the enemy of done.
And this draft is far from perfect.
But it is done.
And that's why I'm going to grab a beer and celebrate.
CHEERS!

IDEA 110: The True Story Of The Invisible Man.
A story about a man who reaches puberty and turns invisible.
Nobody can see him, hear him, smell him. His body has physically moved into a different plane of existence.
At first, he’s excited, of course. He goes into celebrity’s houses. Spies on girls. Has his fun. But then he becomes incredibly lonely.
Suicidal even.
So he goes to the top of the Beetham Tower in Manchester. And as he goes to jump he notices somebody else looking to do the same thing.
He tells them to stop, and for the first time, somebody hears his voice.
The story could potentially go on to them building some sort of surreal relationship together where the more they fall in love, the more he comes back into the real world. Love a good magic realist story.
