What you should know about BLASTOCYSTIS HOMINIS

The Blastocystis Hominis is a unicellular microscopic parasite belonging to the protozoa. This is frequently found in the gastrointestinal tract, the pathogenicity for man is still controversial because for many it does not present any symptomatology.

Many investigations do not include B. hominis as the causative agent of an infection because some people manifest symptoms and others do not. In my experience as a Bioanalyst, I can tell you that the symptomatology will depend on a large part of the number of this parasite in our body and that it may cause havoc in our body, sometimes the presence of this parasite can lead to severe reactions such as: diarrhea, vomiting , weight loss, flatulence, stomach pain and nausea.
