What is busy.org?
Busy.org is an open-source social network platform, using the steem blockchain. It was founded in July 2016, opened in beta in February 2017.
I read a really great explanation which I am happy to share with you : )
Busy and Steemit are different train companies that use the same tracks and the same magic coal. The tracks represent the blockchain and the magic coal is STEEM.
Source
This is actually the first time I am using its platform, still trying to find my way through it. This is the first part of the review and hopefully I will make a more thorough review in the next couple of weeks.
Why you should log-in?
- Busy.org is still in beta, but there are many steemians using its platform, as you can see with the busy hashtag stats (screen-shot 02 Jan. 2017)
- When clicking the ‘pencil’ you find a more user friendly appearance, which I am using as I create this first post in the busy platform.
What I like so far
- It counts words and calculates how many minutes a read the post is
- It seems to be a little bit quicker than steemit itself
- This post will be probably upvoted by busy too!
- It is a new more user-friendly app, and since it is still in beta I truly believe that it will further evolve.
- It is easier to follow users and to see who is following you
- You can write a quick post right from the front page
- When checking my wallet, I see in real time the rate of steem & steem dollar
- It is easy to reply immediately in your posts
My suggestions:
- Change the word topics > hashtags. This will be more clear for the users
- Use a link at the “get a busy boost” to refer with more information
How to get a vote from @busy.org?
It's free and instantaneous, you just need to:
• post using busy.org (works on both version: v1 and the new beta)
• use the tag "busy". It doesn't have to be the primary one
The bot upvotes maximum 1 time every 12 hours per user. (2 upvotes/day/user)
How to check my followers weight?
Thank to @jesta he made the awesome SteemDB API with this precious information, our bot is using it get the weight in VESTS of your followers. You can find this info if you look here: https://steemdb.com/api/accounts?account=fabien and change fabien by your username and search for the field followers_mvest. (This value is in VESTS, to get a 100% upvote you will need 25 billion VESTS)
If you don't know how to do the math, try to post on busy.org and see for yourself the voting power % the @busy.org bot will give you.
- You only see the ‘feed’ and ‘news’. Trending and hot and promoted are missing
- I see a different my wallet. In busy.org I see a much higher est. account value than in steemit.
- I do not see a FAQ section, or a support or a user guide ..
- I read somewhere that it is possible to send a personal message but I could not find such a possibility. Please comment below if you can help with this.
- Please give the possibility to the post box to increase in size, this will make post editing easier.
How can someone log in?
(Prerequisite - to have a steemit account)
Go to https://busy.org/
Click "login"
Click continue:
4 Fill in your username & key
(I have used my private key - not owner - which is located at the Wallet > Permissions)
So, this is it for now! I hope this will be helpful and I will be happy to write a more detailed review about this :)
