BC Fires Hit My Town - Kelowna/Lake Country

Sure enough, the fires I've been reporting on have hit home. Still a couple KM from my actual house, but these pictures are all from my balcony. This is currently underway, though the fire seems to be dying down. Just hope the wind doesn't pick up any more.

About 5 planes in the air - 4 water bombers and a scout.

For those unaware, the Okanagan Valley in BC Canada is the only hot desert in Canada (apparently the arid environment of the arctic makes it technically a desert as well). This results in wildfires breaking out pretty much every summer, but this year the fires are popping up throughout BC.

If you're feeling charitable and would like to help out, the Red Cross is taking donations to help in fire relief efforts.
