What is Suspension?
Suspension is the system of tires, tire air, springs, shock absorbers and linkages that connects a vehicle to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two. Suspension systems must support both roadholding/handling and ride quality, which are at odds with each other. Sources: wikipedia
My friend introduce me to this suspension shop located at Seri Kembangan named PRS Suspension, the owner is call SIM. Why would I come to here? Because my car's factory suspension is a bit leaning towards a comfort setup for a family sedan, it defeats my purpose of hard cornering during my Tōge session with my friends.
Everyone will recommend installing adjustable coilover in replacement to get better handling but it comes with a con, which is comfort must be sacrifice. When you want best handling, there will be no comfort; that's how the suspension world works. One good adjustable coilover ain't cheap too, it will cost bare minimum of RM 2,000+ up to RM 10,000+ .

Here's a side angle of it, that's my friend tuning his car's alignment

SIM, the owner of PRS is good at what he does, he has more than 20 year experience in tuning suspension, all learned from his mentor (a.k.a 师父). I asked him for his opinion, what's the best and budget friendly method to get my handling better. His solution was inject more oil into my factory suspension making it to become more stiffer and the rebound of the damper will be better.
Took few days for me to consider his solution and off I went on the Monday morning to his shop to perform this solution. The method of inject more oil is to drill a small hole on my suspension, inject the right amount of oil and weld it back. The whole process from disassembling my all 4 suspension, inject, assembling back and alignment took nearly 2 hours only.
Parked inside to begin the operation
Disassembling my front left suspension
Spring buffer added to prevent the tyres to rub against my fender due to my wide offset rims
After installing back those suspension back into my car, SIM and I went for a test out around the neighbourhood. Immediately, I can feel a different feedback from the suspension across uneven roads, slightly stiffer but still there's a reduced comfort on it as well. Overall, I'm satisfied with the solution, will be testing out this suspension on upcoming Sunday Tōge session with friends
Looks of my car, I prefer that way, not too fancy, not too original.
And lastly, all these operation just cost me RM 340 on all 4 suspension only compare to getting a new adjustable coilover which will cost RM 2,000+ above. If you're interested, you can contact SIM at +6012-628 2927 or waze to his workshop (better get an appointment before going)
