I recently added a 2005 Toyota Tundra to the list of my drive-able toys.
Here are a few shots of the truck:
This specific Toyota is a Tundra Limited Double-cab 4x4 with the 4.7 liter I-Force V8 engine. The truck is high mileage but Tundras have been known to run forever. One man drove his Tundra over 1 million miles. It still had the original engine, transmission, and paint.
The speakers on the truck are nice (JBL OEM) but their age has caused them to rattle. I discovered a YouTube video yesterday that featured a surprisingly effective fix. I'll replace the speakers eventually but for the time being, this works great.Â
I put folded up drink koozies in between the speaker cone and the metal speaker cover. Check it out:Â
It's a little hard to hear the guy in the video but the solution is pretty simple. I did have to a adjust the koozies a bit to completely make the rattle go away, nevertheless I am really happy with this quick fix. It might work on your vehicle too!
