Red dragonfly - Leucorrhinia rubicunda

DSC06805.JPG

Yesterday I stopped the car on the edge of a glade, which was all in blossoming herbs. I decided to examine it for interesting plants. As it turned out, this glade was really interesting and not only plants. which grew on her.

A lot of flying insects allowed me to defuse the battery of my camera.

The three finds were amazing. Yesterday I published a post about the butterfly Machaon, it was the first joyful find. Second, I want to introduce you today. It's a red dragonfly.

I saw her sitting on a high stalk of dry grass. She was quite far away. I took a picture and took one step in her direction. So I was able to come close to the dragonfly.

When I heard the sound from touching the dragonfly wings to the lens of the camera, it was - Bingo!

Even more joy I had when I returned home and began to look for information about this dragonfly. It turned out that these dragonflies in Ukraine are extremely rare. So says Wikipedia. This is how to photograph a big Foot.

Interestingly, I photographed other dragonflies, but, they kept the wings in different directions from the body. This dragonfly, wings put forward itself. She seems to cover her head with a veil.
