My top three favorite movies from all time are:
- Blade Runner
- Fool for Love
- Napoleon Dynamite
Blade Runner
I have always loved this set design since I was blown away in a movie theater in the early 1980’s by this flick.
Now I often say, “That’s some Blade Runner sh#t right there” as I make my way through SE Asia. The large and silent TV screens are often seen, crowds flow, and everything in my view is inexplicable.
Beyond the setting, I am moved by the fight to survive by the replicants. Once life is present, it has power.
Fool for Love
This movie shows how two people can see the same thing and get completely different meanings. Also that are memories are imperfect. Also that it is very easy to hurt people who love you.
Napoleon Dynomite
I saw this movie with @bxlphabet when he was a young teen and we were on trip to Los Angeles for a long weekend. We did not have TV at home so we would watch movies on trips. Remembering that fun time is part of the reason I like this movie so much.
All the losers are striving in this movie and determined to reach their goals no matter what other people think. This is how I believe life is – once you succeed – everybody loves you. Before that – they think you are nuts. It's up to you to keep going - not up to them to cheer you on.
I had a portion of this movie made into a marketing video for fitinfun and steemit. Pedro went through hell to make his speech and I give him my vote. In turn, he helps me get steemit upvotes now.
