One way of achieving academic success is by encouraging and motivating students. Most students learn better when they are encouraged and when there is a price tag to success. You see them working hard to come out successful.

As a teacher, i decided to make it a duty to improve learning among these students by motivating them. I teach Civic Education. Civic Education is a subject that teaches the students their rights and duties and how the government of their country works.
Most students lack this knowledge, so the need arose for these students to be taught about their government and country. The best teaching method i apply while teaching these students is by involving them in the process. Making them to do research on different topics and develop their findings. Making slides for their presentation.
How beneficial is the presentation for the students?
- The students become eager to learn.
- They learn faster since they are involved in the process of teaching.
- The students are bold and learn to face the public or crowd confidently. Especially when making personal presentions in their class or assembly ground.
- Their school performances/academic grades has greatly increased.
- Their skills on computer usage has improved through regular presentation of their work with powerpoint presentation. etc
This is the 5th edition of Civic Education Class presentations by the students and it's always termly. A gift of textbooks is always given to them as encouragment. Ten (10) student will be given gifts for their past presentation.

Each textbook costs N1200.
For ten students 10 textbooks =
1200 * 10 = 12,000 (20SBD).
Providing these textbooks for the students means a lot to them. The students are happy with the presentations and are looking forward to another edition of it. I hope to divide them into groups by next week after presenting textbooks to them as gifts for their previous presentation.
