So this is the second time I am writing for this charity and I should clarify that all proceeds from this post will go towards @schoolforsdg4, which is the account dedicated to the program. The creator of this project is @azizbd, who is the sole person that made education for unprivileged kids in Sylhet, Bangladesh possible. And the purpose of this post is to provide kids with fruit snacks every week.
Shelina, Arif, Juma, And Prity singing Songs
Those, above, are just some of the kids I wish to help to have an education, a place to go and full belies. We have all heard about places where education, food, clean water, roof over ones head is a luxury. There has been stories to be read, documentaries, books, you name it. And yes, it seems to happen far away. The truth is I have never seen those kids in real life, but it doesn't mean they are not real. And now when I have a chance to help just by writing an article I am in! Those kids may be far away, but they deserve the best in life as much as the next guy.
Juma Washing and taking some Grapes
Now about the program. It is a weekly fruit program for unprivileged kids located in Gashitula, Sylhet, Bangladesh. The creator of the program @azizbd is the provider of those fruits and sometimes he pays out of his own pocket so these kids can have a fruit snack once a week, thanks to the amazing steemit community his program has already received donations that lead to full belies. This is the part of the world where child labor is very real, 10 hour work day is a reality and 25 dollars a month is the wage for this work. This is what the project is fighting against.
Fruit program 10/08/2017 (yesterday)
You can see @azizbd in the picture above. He is the person trying to provide basic education for the little ones, they have exams, English and many other lessons. Unfortunately some of those kids leave school to provide for their families, they leave for work and therefore education is cut off completely. Not having an education is a cause for poverty most of the times and most kids who leave school unknowingly throw out their future. And the sad thing is that they don't have a choice, because their families need to eat.
