Hi, all! Before we start, I want to wish you an amazing coming New Year and I hope you spent Christmas according to your hopes and dreams! This post is going to be what it usually is, a piece for @SchoolForSDG4. All proceeds from this post will go to @SchoolForSDG4, created by @azizbd, to help host a weekly fruit program and/or provide educational materials for the kids.
As some of you may know, the kids are on holiday at the moment, but that does not mean that there is nothing happening with them. There are some news to talk about and the life in Bangladesh is moving along, even though school is out at the moment. Don't worry, though. It is starting once again, in January.
Here is a recent post from @azizbd
Yesterday, the kids found out the exam results. Unfortunately, some of the little ones will have to study additionally(redo the study year) and do the exam again, but thankfully, most passed and are going to move forward. Junayed, the boy who had to do the exam at night, because he was working the whole day, passed the exam and his mom promised to let him go to school instead of making him work.
And here is our hero, Junayed
Even though I remember @azizbd telling me that Junayed was very tired on the exam night and wearing clothes from the previous day, the boy passed and is going to continue studying. There is a willpower in him that I admire and I hope he is going to go far in life, it seems, he will! You can also see his mom in the picture, she is behind, right next to the door.
The school has also received new, government-approved study books from the government (for free) but there weren't enough for all of the students. However, there is a second distribution event on 15th of January and, knowing @azizbd, he is going to get what is necessary for his kids! Hopefully, all of the needed books will be received and the kids will be able to continue on as usual.
The monthly mother meeting took place as well. The moms of the children in school received a special gift from @GirlBeforeMirror who sent some SBD for the mothers, to help them with their expenses. As most of the mothers are single parents, this will help them a lot and, hopefully, keep them from sending their kids to work. As their families are earning low incomes, some are forced to send their kids for manual labor, but these moneys, sent from an amazing steemian, may help and give them the option to let their kids study.
As always, thank you all for supporting the cause! Your donations on these posts will help provide some very necessary, nutritious fruits during the weekly fruit program as well as study supplies. The extra funds that might be received, will be deposited in the schools emergency fund as one never knows when dark times might fall upon a person, or, in this case, a school. It is good to be prepared.
All the pictures are recent and provided by @azizbd, any questions about the project can be resolved with him, he will be happy to answer any questions if you are interested to help this project and have any idea about how to make it better. Heck, he will even get up at 4 AM in the morning just to talk to somebody about ideas. Here is a link to his steemit chat: https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd
If you would like to contribute by making a post, you can contact Mohammed ( @azizbd ) and he will provide pictures for you, anyone spreading the word is welcome. The income from the post can be sent to @schoolforsdg4, if you think you deserve any Steem for your hard work making a post, keep a dime, even a small donation from your posts means a lot to those kids.
If you have any Steem to spare, donations are welcome. @schoolforsdg4 is where you want to send them.
If you can't spare any Steem, because I know everybody has their lives to live and expenses needed to be covered, a simple upvote is very much appreciated, a resteem is encouraged. :)
As I said, all income from this post will go towards the project, my rewards are set to 50/50 payout, but I am always able to find the SBD my posts make, so I will be able to forward all income from this post to @schoolforsdg4.
Wishing you wonderful holidays,
Linda
