Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits every week, nr. VIII

All proceeds from this post will go to @SchoolForSDG4, created by @azizbd, to help host a weekly fruit program for the kids. Heya, guys! It has been another week and I must say that last weeks crowd-funding went amazingly, thanks for all the love! The kids are on holiday at the moment, so I don't have an update of the weekly activities, instead I am going to share the development of the program so far.

Here is the last post about acquiring school books for @SchoolForSDG4 from the government

There have been generous people donating to the school and making posts, and @azizbd told me that the project is reaching a point when the weekly fruit program gets funded completely. It is a huge milestone! And you probably want to know where the money is going to go if the school receives any excess donations.

I have been promoting my posts as crowd-funding for the kids fruit program, but I think I will need to add an extra line explaining that all the money going to the school will be used for the continuous education of children. Right now @azizbd is thinking of making an emergency fund or allocating the donations for school supplies. There are, of course, the everyday expenses the school has to cover like teacher wages and utility costs.

Arifs mom is battling mental illness and his dad has left the family, but Arif is continuing on

The primary goal for the charity is to improve the lives of all the children in the school, as much as possible. We have seen @azizbd buy school-bags for the kids and try to fund Al-Amin, so he can continue studying, and of course there is the fruit program that we hope to turn into a daily event one day. There are huge dreams and a lot of energy put in the project, but things should not be rushed, success is based on good planning.

Here is a recent photo of @azizbd visiting Al-Amin and giving his family their monthly 25 dollars worth of allowance, so Al-Amin can continue going to school. I know it is not the prettiest thing in life, but that is the harsh reality of what some people go through, and what they need to survive.

Non profit business is one that relies at least partly on donations and donations always vary as our circumstances change, so @SchoolForSDG4 is trying to do everything in a reasonable pace. @azizbd is considering making a long term plan to ensure real success. His hands are quite full, so it may take a while to come up with a definite, working plan for the future, but he is definitely in the charity for the long haul. We have brainstormed some ideas for the business part of the charity, so it is able to sustain itself at least partly, but at the moment those are just ideas, the very beginning.

All the pictures are provided by @azizbd, any questions about the project can be resolved with him, he will be happy to answer any questions if you are interested to help his project and have any idea about how to make it better. Heck, he will even get up at 4 AM in the morning just to talk to somebody about ideas. Here is a link to his steemit chat: https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd

If you would like to contribute by making a post, you can contact Mohammed ( @azizbd ) and he will provide pictures for you, anyone spreading the word is welcome. The income from the post can be sent to @schoolforsdg4, if you think you deserve any Steem for your hard work making a post, keep a part, even a small donation from your posts means a lot to those kids.

If you have any Steem to spare, donations are welcome. @schoolforsdg4 is where you want to send them.

If you can't spare any Steem, because I know everybody has their lives to live and expenses needing to be covered, a simple upvote is very much appreciated, a resteem is encouraged. :)

As I said, all income from this post will go towards the project, my rewards are set to 50/50 payout, but I have some other SBD kept in a safe place, so I will be able to forward all income from this post to @schoolforsdg4.

I wish you the best, as always!
Linda
