Here is a new 'KQP vs kn' mate in 3 chess puzzle created by a computer program, Chesthetica, using the Digital Synaptic Neural Substrate (DSNS) computational creativity approach. The DSNS does not use endgame tablebases, neural networks or any kind of machine learning found in traditional artificial intelligence (AI). It also has nothing to do with deep learning. Depending on the type and complexity of the problem desired, a single instance of Chesthetica running on a desktop computer can probably generate anywhere between one and ten problems per hour.
White to Play and Mate in 3
Chesthetica v10.59 : Selangor, Malaysia
2018.1.6 12:51:27 AM
The chess problems are published chronologically based on the composition date and time. However, later compositions may have an earlier version of Chesthetica listed because more than one computer (not all running the same version of the program) is used. White is over a rook's worth in material but the precise win in this position still needs to be found. Why not time yourself how long it took you to solve this? As a whole, these problems are intended to cater to players of all skill levels.
