Just a really quick flock update. I hope you are all having a great Saturday so far! This morning we brought the chicks out to meet the remaining girls in the greenhouse. The chicks aren't quite ready for cold weather just yet so in here is perfect for a few hours.
I was also hoping that it would cheer the girls up. It has been a crazy week since the fox attack, they are used to being outside so this must be a drag for them.
They are just over 5 weeks old. They are Olive Eggers, but it looks like a Chantecler may have slipped in there!
We let them out a bit aways from the girls just in case, Reba spotted them right away and came running to them❤
Reba is cooing and clucking all over them
Adele is running up in the rear clucking like crazy now....
Looks like Reba and Adele want to be Mommas ❤ The other 4 girls want nothing to do with them haha!
I left them to do their thing for the morning, I have already peeked in twice...they are scratching and pecking away with Reba and Adele hovering by. A little peace after a rough week❤
