Hello everyone! Here's my entry for the weekly clay art contest hosted by @josejirafa. I don't know if this entry will be consider or maybe I was too late to participate. Please to those who are interested in this contest, please check the link here. In this theme, my "guitar" is one of my best gifts from my mom. She offered it as my present during my graduation day back in highschool. It's not branded but I really treasured it and she save money just to get one for me. I didn't ask for it but she wanted me to learn some musical instrument which I'm interested too. She was the one who taught me first how to read some notes and chords. My first teacher heheheh. I miss my old guitar, I left it in my hometown.
In this art, I'm using modeling clay for the second time around. Here's my materials and the simplest process since I was running out of time.
Materials:
Modeling clay (brown, black and yellow)
Cutting tool
Here's my process:
- Get a brown clay, roll it over, form a cylinder, and flatten it. This may serve as the handle of the guitar. Then another brown clay roll it over and flatten at the surface for the body of the guitar, make a small whole. Take your yellow clay , flatten it, trace the guitar body using cutting tool and put it over the guitar. Take a black clay and form a small piece of elements in the guitar design. I don't have color white for the string (pardon) so I decided to let my guitar with no string.
Sad to say this entry was a rush (pardon).
I am nominating for the next theme to join this contest @ohkaaay, @olivia08 and @ediah.
Thanks for dropping by and catch you next time!
