On to my second tones now; I'm beginning to feel more confident, and yesterday I spoke a tiny bit of Chinese in a takeaway, and they understood me! I used what I have learned over the course of these videos and it has given me so much confidence.
I urge anyone thinking about taking up a language to just do so, it is so rewarding and the feeling you get when you are finally able to communicate with a native speaker is tremendous!
