勝博殿日式炸豬排 - 大叔的飲食隨筆 (二 )| Japanese Cutlet Saboten - Old man's food blog (2)

上星期三晚太太說要帶我去吃一樣我很喜歡吃的日本菜,我還以為是大阪燒或者是拉麵,原來是日式炸豬排。她說的是這家在銅鑼灣的勝博殿日式炸豬排。

Last Wednesday, my wife told me that she would like to show me a good Japanese restaurant, I thought she might refer to Okonomiyaki or Ramen restaurants, turned out it was Japanese Cutlet Saboten in Causeway Bay.

我們到達時已經是晚上9時後,所以客人不多。這裏的裝修簡單而整潔,很有日本的風格。

We arrived after 9:00pm, so it was not full. Decorations was simple and nice, very Japanese look and feel.

餐桌上放置的調味品和用具都很整齊的排列好。

Everything on the table were properly placed.

我們叫了食物之後,最先上的是一大碗捲心菜絲和漬物。雖然有沙律菜專用的醬汁,但我還是喜歡混合炸豬排用的特製醬油。跟日本的炸豬排餐廳一樣,菜和白飯是可任意添食的。

After we placed our orders, cabbage and Japanese pickled vegetables were delivered. Althought there were sauces dedicated for them, I used the special sauce for cutlets instead. The taste was so nice. Just like other Japanes Cutlet restaurants, cabbage and rice could be refilled for free.

過了不久,我們叫的晚餐就到了。先看看太太叫的「廣島蠔海鮮拼盤套餐」,包括吉列蠔,炸海蝦,忌廉蟹肉餅和炸豬排各一件。

This was the "Hiroshima Oyster Seafood Combo" my wife ordered, there were one piece of deep fried Oyster, one piece of deep fried shrimp, one piece of crab meat croquette and one piece of deep fried pork tenderloin.

而我叫的是香葱味噌炸豬柳套餐,就是味噌汁煮炸豬柳。

I ordered "Hot Miso over Pork Tenderloin with Spring Onion" set.

依我的經驗,每一家日式炸豬排餐廳都一定有自己的醬油,有的甚至用自家秘制的醬油做最大的賣點。所以一般我都是以這個醬油配炸豬排/柳一起吃的。

Each Cutlet restaurant should have its own special sauce for deep fried pork cutlets. Some of them might even took the sauces as their biggest selling points. I normally use those sauces with cutlets.

不過因為今次的晚餐有一(小)鍋的味噌汁,所以我就嘗試用這個味噌汁混和炸豬柳和白飯一起吃,結果出孚意料的好味,所以整個晚餐我只在吃沙律菜時用過那個炸豬排醬油。

However, I tried the miso sauce with the cutlet and rice, which I liked that so much. That's why I didn't use the special cutlet sauce at all.

飯後再來一客雪糕作甜品,可謂完滿。

We completed our dinner with ice-creams.

總括而言,這家勝博殿日式炸豬排在香港能吃到的日式炸豬排餐廳當中算是中上的水準。食品的味道算是不過不失,炸物尚算乾身,亦不覺油膩。不過因為份量偏小,同樣的價錢,在日本吃到的炸豬排份量是這兒的三倍。因為份量太少的關係,每件炸豬都是一口的份量,基本上沒有雖需要咬開再咀嚼,所以完全沒有吃炸豬排的質感。吃過整份餐之後仍然覺得不滿足。我覺得餐廳應該加大炸豬排的份量,價錢上作相應的調整就是了。

Saboten Cutlet restaurant was above average in quality. Food taste good, the deep fried food was dry and not oily. However, size was too small. They were only about 1/3 in size when compared to size you got in Japan (with similar price tag). The problem was that you can't really chew the food and get the taste of texture you should have from good pork cutlet. I think the restaurant should increase the size of food, just make corresponding adjustment to the price if necessay.

服務水準則有待改善。不知道是否已經接近關門的時間,侍應都趕收工的關係,已經沒有上自己手磨芝麻,就連出錯甜品亦不知道,要連番查問才知道我叫的甜品是什麼,可見他們是胡亂拿個甜品結我充數。這一點是不能原諒。

I felt sorry about service quality of the restaurant. Maybe it was because of the last hour, we didn't get sesame seeds to grind to mix with the sauces. Even worse was the waiter didn't realize they served me incorrect dessert. We had to checked with different persons to verfiy our order, that means, the waiter just deliver us an ice-cream but not the ice-cream we ordered. I think this was not acceptable in an Japanese restaurant.

雖然味道不錯,但整體的感覺不好,加上價錢偏貴,估計短期內不會再光顧了。

I am not going to visit here again in near future even thought food was good.
