Recommended by one of our good friends in London, we finally got around to trying out a new Thai food restaurant called Chayada Thai last night.
Its premise is tucked away in Boundary Road, an attractive London suburb of St John’s Wood. It was much nicer inside than I initially thought it would be. The establishment prides itself with cleanliness and some lovely decor. The overall ambience is suitably relaxed and welcoming. Great for a family occasion or a relaxed evening night out with friends.
Chayada Thai offers a wide selection of tasty Thai dishes. According my friend, all the food here were cooked and served in a very authentic style, just as they would do in native Thailand. They focuses on the fine balance between different variations of taste, spice, sour, sweet and salty culinary selections.
We ended up ordering a couple of dishes to share. The food arrived hot and fresh, bursting full of flavour and quality ingredients.
For starter, we had the Chicken Satay and Miang Guaytiew.
The Chicken Satay was soft and tender to the bite. Served in a homemade peanut sauce, this helped in creating the ultimate in taste sensations. Really deliciious stuff. The Miang Guaytiew was a type of rice paper roll with a mixture of prawn and salad. It goes very well with lime and chilli fish sauce. They were great and went down as the perfect appetisers. Still love those varieties of flavours!
We would normally order one of my favourite dishes (Thai Green Curry) as the main dish, but today we opted for the Thai style creamy Yellow Curry with Chicken. A special mix of wild spices and sweet coconut milk made the cuisine taste so incredible! So far, so good.
Another dish we chose was Gang Phed Ped Yang, which is a roasted duck cooked in red curry sauce, sprinkled with tomatoes, pineapple and peppers. The red paste is a bit spicy but overall balanced itself out with the sweetness from the pineapple.
The curry dishes of offer here are so rich and creamy. Perfect to eat with a bowl of steamed jasmine rice.
Chicken Pad Thai must go down as probably one of my all-time favourite selections of Thai food. I could never see myself being bored of it any time soon, lol. You can really taste each of the three main ingredients: tamarind, palm sugar and fish sauce, which create the perfect blend of sweet, salty and sour. So yummy!
We also tried the stir fry beef with cashew nuts and Pad broccoli. Both were just as nice and very much to my liking.
Oh yes! A delicious helping of ice cream to finish off a very memorable and lovely evening!
So upon reflection, Chayada Thai is a great place to go for some fantastic Thai cuisine, pleasant atmosphere with excellent service and value for money too. Their curry dishes are so very rich and creamy, it's akin to some sort of oriental food heaven, lol! Very highly recommended.

餐馆位于伦敦Boundary Road街上。门面看起来并不起眼,可室内装修精致,传统泰国风格与现代的简洁明亮相结合,令整个餐馆看起来很有特色。这里的环境氛围非常适合一家人周末聚餐或几个朋友小酌一杯,呵呵。
Chayada Thai菜单上有各式泰式风味的佳肴。据朋友介绍,这里所有的食物都以传统方式来烹饪,就如在泰国本土一样。餐厅主厨非常注重甜酸咸辣的味道平衡,致力为客人带来特别的味觉体验。
泰国菜都是小小的一份,所以我们多点了几样品尝他们家泰国菜的特色风味。不一会儿,一大桌美味的佳肴就呈现在我们面前。菜式做得很精致,让人食欲大增。我们现在就来尝尝这里独家的泰国料理吧。
首先,我们点了鸡肉沙爹串烧和泰式鲜虾沙拉卷作为前菜。
鸡肉串很嫩滑,蘸上一层厚厚的以花生酱和椰浆为主材料的沙爹酱,馥郁香浓,令人回味无穷! 鲜虾沙拉卷有点像咱们的春卷,用米纸把新鲜大虾和沙拉包起来,晶莹剔透中映衬处橙红的虾仁与澄碧的香菜。配上清香的青柠檬和甜辣酱,那种酸辣口味非常适合我,让我胃口大开,呵呵。
我们通常会点青咖喱鸡作为主菜,但是今天我们特别选了泰式黄咖喱鸡。黄咖喱酱配上椰奶,美味纯正。我好喜欢那种浓郁的咖喱味道,却又不会有厚重的感觉,太赞了!
我们还点了红咖喱烤鸭,相信大家对这道泰国菜不会太陌生吧,它不论在泰国本土或世界上都非常受欢迎。这道菜的原料里不但有蔬菜和水果还有脆皮烤鸭,搭配上红咖喱的味道,调和了令人意想不到的味蕾反应。它的口感让我深陷其中,不断回味!
这里的咖喱菜真是做得非常出众,拌上一碗蒸饭,会让人胃口大开,呵呵。
泰国炒河粉是经典的泰国菜,广受欢迎。它也是我的最爱,总吃不厌,呵呵。这家的河粉炒得不错,火候足,干爽而酸甜辣鲜,太美味了!
还有腰果炒牛肉和西兰花这两个小炒,味道也不错。
吃完酸酸辣辣的泰国菜,再来个草莓和香草雪糕就最适合不过了,呵呵!
总的来说,Chayada Thai是一家正宗风味的泰国料理。这里环境优雅,菜式都做得不错,特别是他们家的咖喱味道浓郁,口感醇厚,很赞!价格来说,在伦敦也算实惠。有喜欢泰国风味的朋友,不要错过这里哦!
