Today, I attend my first Church Wedding, the new couple was undergraduate students that works in my lab when I was a Ph.D. student. They both grown up in China and the bride came to Canada from high school while the groom come to here for College.
今天我第一次参加了一场教堂举行的婚礼，新郎和新娘是我读博士的时候带过的本科生。他们都是在国内长大，新娘来加拿大读高中加大学，而新郎直接来都大学。
This is a very lovely story but not that special, the reason I would like to post today is to discuss the little difference between the wedding I attended in China and Canada.
这是一个很美的故事，不过并不算特殊。想写这个帖子的主要原因是想小小的讨论一下我参加过的中国的婚礼和加拿大婚礼的区别。
First, the wedding is hosted in a Church other than a big restaurant. The photo is the cover page of the wedding booklet.
首先，婚礼在教堂而并不是在大酒店举行。图片是他们婚礼的小手册。
The wedding start from 2:00 pm, there is no complex procedure, no all sorts of pickup and send, no fooling around and tricks, all the process was serious and solemnity. The picture is the process.
婚礼从下午两点开始，没有复杂的流程，没有各种接送，抢，闹，直奔主题，庄严肃穆。图片是流程。
I am not a Christian, but I do agree with the bible "Wives, be subjected to your husband as you are to the lord." However, I can not speak for my wife, lol. Photo is the second page of the booklet, which is the quotation from the bible.
虽然我不是基督徒，不过对于经文 “你们作为妻子的，当顺从丈夫，如同顺从主。” 我还是很赞同的，就是不知道我老婆赞不赞同啦。哈哈。图片是婚礼小手册的第二页，也是一段圣经经文。
The words from the priest, this is a pretty good summary for a marriage. For the last point, become one, it depend on your own understanding, lol.
牧师的劝导，对婚姻的总结还是比较到位的。至于最后这个成为一体，就要看各位的理解了，哈哈。
The vow is very serious, not so much entertainment feeling, I think this shows people that marriage is a very holy agreement.
誓言庄重，给人的最大感觉就是没有过多的娱乐氛围，让大家明白，婚姻是一个很严肃的约定。
Well, I believe everyone is curious is the bride beautiful? I can say from my heart, she is very, just show everyone a smile under the veil.
相信大家都很好奇新娘美不美啊，哈哈。我可以很负责任的说，很美。至于有多美，就给大家一个头纱下的微笑把。
At last, some desert, no drinking and no messing.
最后是一点甜点，没有喝酒没有混乱。
Summary, this wedding is the most sweet wedding I've ever been though, even I did not really agree with the religion part, all the others are pure beautiful and sincere. Compare with the Chinese wedding which is a little too entertainment, the church wedding have less activity and more solemn silence. I personally enjoy this feeling of pureness. This wedding makes me feel like want to hold my wedding again, lol. Anyway, my sincerely blessing to the new couple, and hope they can accompany with each other until forever.
总结，这是我参加过的最有感觉的一次婚礼，除了我不太相信的宗教部分，一切都是唯美，认真的。相对于国内更偏娱乐的婚礼，少了一些热闹多了一些肃静。我个人更喜欢这种纯粹的感觉。感受了这个婚礼让我自己都有再办一次婚礼的冲动了，哈哈。最后祝新人白首偕老啦。
