International Convention Centre & Baby Toddler Show - 國際會議展覽中心舉行的寶寶...

Last week I was lucky to get some free tickets to attend a Baby and Toddler show at the new International Convention Centre (ICC) at Darling Harbour. The old centre was demolished in 2013 and it took several years to build this new one which was completed in the last couple of months. I invited my mum to join me on the day as Daddy E doesn't like going to baby expos. It was a 3 day event so we decided to go on Friday where there will be less people. Parking on a Friday around the convention would be pretty expensive so I decided to take the train there instead.

上個星期我拿到一些門票到在悉尼達令港的國際會議展覽中心舉行的寶寶展覽會. 舊的會議展覽中心在2013拆除而新的是用了幾年時間才完成。爸爸 E 不喜歡去這種展覽會所以我叫我媽媽陪我一起去看看。這個寶寶展覽會只有3天所以我們選擇在頭一天星期五去因為會少一點人。星期五在這邊拍車很貴所以我坐火車到場地。

It is the first time I’ve been to the new ICC so the first impression I got was it looks like apartment blocks. The show is held mid way of the centre so we didn't go to the front of the building but I have included a picture of the front from their website. As it is school holidays in Sydney, there are plenty of activities on at Darling Harbour for kids of all ages.

This Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour opposite to the convention centre - there are mini concerts and shows here on weekends and people can sit on the grass area to enjoy the show

這個是在達令港的Tumbalong Park 在展覽中心前面。在週末的時候會有一些表演或音樂會。很多人會在草地上欣賞當天的活動。

As it is a baby and toddler show, there were plenty of mums pushing prams around the venue

因為我們去的是寶寶展覽所以這裡有很多媽媽和在推 BB 車。

We chose to come on a Friday as we know it will be a quiet day as we’ve been on the weekends the previous year and it was packed with people

我們選擇在星期五來是因為去年在週末非常多人所以今年要早點來比較好

As we walked in, we can see there were lots of mums and bubs around. Remember this is only Friday, imagine the weekend!

There is a large play around set up by Fisher Price for the kids.

Blackmore always gives out full size samples to every everyone who attends the show. This year, they were giving out free formula and gummy bears for the kids. I believe they opening up their brand in Asia recently.

每次有展覽Blackmore都會給每個入場的人一些他們的產品。今年他們送一罐奶粉和營養糖果。我想他們現在正在亞洲不同地方開始開分店

The expo has everything you need from a newborn to a toddler. Here you can test some prams and see which one is suitable for your needs.

這個展覽有很多適合不同年紀的小孩的東西。這裡你可以試推你喜歡的寶寶車

There are also large area for parents to change their babies at - they will give you some free sample nappies and wet towels to try. The facilities here was not bad

Many big names have stands here trying to promote their products or services. Here we have Ronald McDonald House getting people to help for families in need.

For older kids, you can get them a mini car. They were not cheap tho - $350 for the simple designed cars.

If you want to use the same pram as David Beckham, the Bugaboo stand is the place to be. Starting price was $1100 for the standard option

I was so excited seeing the Burt’s Bee stand as they normally are quite expensive at our department stores. I got their showbag for $20 with products worth $90+ inside. That was a bargain!

在展覽會我看到 Burt's Bee 這個牌子非常開心因為外面買他們的產品非常貴。這裡有優惠可以用$20買到這個牌子的禮包。

After nearly 2 hours of going around the expo, we got loads of samples for the kids and bought some goodies.

兩個多小時後我們就看完，我們拿了很多試用包回家和買了一點點東西

There are also a nice cafe setup inside but mum and I decided to go back to Chinatown to have yum cha instead.

I love going to these expos as the big brands will showcase their new products and there are plenty of samples to take home to try before buying them in store. This is also the first time this expo was held at the ICC so it was a great opportunity to visit the newly finished building.
