Collaborative Art – Flying along looking out the window of the car

I really like these art collaborations with @everlove. Here’s my entry based on her picture:

Flying along looking out the window of the car

Is what we see real or formed somewhere in our collective imagination and increasingly wonderful technology? What’s the point? The world seems to be changing very rapidly, the close by view is all a blur in motion. Off in the distance the strange sunset shines in an interesting sky and reflects on the bay. My thoughts wander to the misdeeds of the past and wonder about the future. Fire and ice.

About the making

Spot On:

I started with the picture that @everlove made. As usual I looked at for a while and nothing much seemed to come to mind. So I looked at it some more, lol. The first thing I thought of doing was putting a frame around it in Dogwaffle and making it looked half buried in the ground like some ancient work of art. I’d combine that with a picture of Dog-oh smelling the grass and call it something like, “What’d ya find there boy? I wouldn't smell that if I was you.” (Ah, the smell of art - just kidding) :D

Somehow that didn’t seem like a good use of @everlove ‘s nice picture. So I started looking through some of my photographs and ran across one that seemed to have some similar colors and themes.

I found this one of a refinery that I took at sunset with my Galaxy S7 out the back of a moving car. You can’t really see what it is but I liked the colors and feel of the reflections and patterns. Google photos processed it a bit and enhanced the look:

I just did a pretty simple combination of the two images in GIMP. I started playing around with it some more but kind of ran out of time and changes were not making things look much better so I thought I would just leave it as is.
