O the redbuds,

the crabapple blossoms, the tulips,
so long awaited,
so much loved,
so soon on their way out!

Prince hurries past

on his way to the pond, his favorite water dish.
He won't miss the colors of spring. He will miss the snow. Already, it's the heat, and the humidity, ugh, ugh--winter skipped spring and went straight to summer this year.

I'll write a letter of complaint!

Nobody will heed my plea for justice, though,
