📷 ColorChallenge Photography | Wednesday Yellow | Golden Yellow Idol "Lord Murugan" at Batu Cave

Hi Steemians,

Hope your enjoying your Day! Here is my entry for today's #colorchallenge Wednesday Yellow photography 📷. This #colorchallenge is initiated by @kalemandra.

This Pictures were taken during my visit to Batu Caves, Malaysia along with my Family.

Batu Caves - a truly magnificent series of caves and cave temples with giant golden statue of Lord Murugan (42.7m) located in the Gombak district, 13 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.

Kartikeya , also known as Murugan, Skanda, Kumara, and Subrahmanya, is the Hindu god of war. He is the son of Parvati and Shiva, brother of Ganesha, and a god whose life story has many versions in Hinduism. An important deity around South Asia since ancient times, Kartikeya is particularly popular and predominantly worshipped in South India and Sri Lanka as Murugan.
