Colour Challenge: Five Orange Butterflies

On one of our walks, we found a small field of thistles that seemed to be the only food for butterflies in the area. A great many species had gathered here; these are photos of the orange ones:

A peacock (Aglais io), dagpauwoog in Dutch:

A red admiral (Vanessa atalanta), atalanta in Dutch:

A large skipper (Ochlodes sylvanus), groot dikkopje in Dutch:

A meadow brown (Maniola jurtina), bruin zandoogje in Dutch:

A comma (Polygonia c-album), gehakkelde aurelia in Dutch:

The shutter speeds used may seem a bit over the top, but it was very windy and the flowers and butterflies moved around a lot.

Thanks for watching!
