Most recent Shots from Gardening.
The last of the current bunch of potted plants are now, in the ground, in pots or planters.
Our lawns really aren't! That probably sounds odd but it isn't... one entire side of my house is mostly shade, so growing grass has always been an issue. So, why bother? Why spend money on grass seed, watering, fertilizer and cutting something that won't grow lush?
I ripped all of that side lawn up and it is an entire shade garden.
As well, most of the front is lavender, wild flowers, or a natural garden. Only two tiny patches of green grass grow.
My back yard, I keep a decent sized area of grass, for my BBQ's and entertaining, but large areas are taken over with gardens, including a crock garden with tiny water feature, falls and pond, an herb garden, and a few plum trees with shade and hosta plants.
toxic fertilizers and cutting something unnatural looking?
After all, lawnmowers really aren't the best for the planet!
