Old Rusty Wagon
to drop off my oldest at the camp she works at for summer, in New Hampshire.
It's a trip from suburban life, to an extremely rural area.
Life is different there.
it's not better. It's not worse.
It just is.
There's a different expectation of day to day.
No running around for Starbucks and an expensive coffee,
then off to some meaningless office existence.
And along the way,
there are tidbits from America's past, sitting unused, rusted...
a part of history that speak to different times.
It's a 90 minute drive up... and decades back in time.
It's a three hour trip home, because I stop at small town centers
and shoot the wooden clapboarded general stores,
and the farms, and the old cemeteries...
... and pretty much whatever catches my eye.
This old wagon harks back to a farming time, before internal combustion engines.
