for Minnows and Dolphins
I know that the title sounds a bit cheesy but I have to make a post where I can show people how to make something on Steem especially that after the SBD pump I managed to get on the platform seven friends and now are entirely lost.
I am on Steem for six months now, and I saw a “strategy” so to say, that worked out for everybody including me, a strategy that may take your blog through the roof.
I don’t feel like the term strategy fits my post since that takes you with the thought to a specific strict pattern that you have to follow, this is more like a guideline. Something you should consider doing. A healthy way both you and the community can benefit from your actions. It’s split in two ways depending on where are you now. There’s a third part too but that’s for whales, and since I’m not there yet I cannot write about it.
Let’s say that you just joined or you’re already here for a while, but you’re still making pennies. Your blog is not getting any awareness or upvotes, you’re not satisfied yet, with your rewards.
If you’re finding yourself in this category, your primary focus shouldn’t be on content but interaction. You should still post quality content, but for the most part, you should engage in the community.
Maybe post somewhere around two-three times per week (that’s what I’ve done for over five months) and comment a lot more. If you have the inspiration to create a lot, sure, feel free to post every day but if your inspiration is limited, like mine, try to post only, so your followers don’t forget that you exist.
This is where you should focus on making genuine friendships and deep conversation with others either if it’s through comments or discord.
Maybe the most important thing is that you shouldn’t do it just because I’m saying so, but because you want to, because you want to get to know other amazing Steemians, to bond with them and maybe even help each other. What I mean by helping each other is not circle jerking but supporting each other not necessarily through votes.
Since at the beginning you have no followers on the platform the chances that your post will be seen and upvoted by someone are rather low thus you need to engage in the community as much as possible.
Follow what I’m saying here, and you should be fine.
If you’re making some money
Making some money may differ from one another, for me, it was making about $10 per posts, for you maybe $50 or $5. If you’re making a constant amount of money, you’re pleased with you should follow my advice, post every day.
If you’re already at this post you probably have a following that is looking forward for your content, you have friends that want to see what you’re doing and enough rewards on your posts that it worth posting every day.
Again, you shouldn’t post just because I’m saying so but because you like doing it because you love creating content and sharing it with the whole community because you love getting comments and replying to all of them. At least, these are some big reasons for me.
Maybe you can’t post every day, then at least try to post as often as you can. Perhaps you can’t write that much through the week, then prepare your posts in the weekend.
Conclusion
These are not actual strategies but ways of posting and interacting with the people that you like or may like. This may or may not work for you but it sure as hell worked out for me and a lot more Steemians.
Only because I was making genuine friendships, I got invited to so many projects and amazing communities that now are helping me achieve real rewards from my posts.
Find what suits you the best and stick to it. Try to write and engage with the community every day. In the last six months, I don’t think there’s one day where I didn’t write a comment or a message on Discord.
If you want to join some communities and don’t know which, feel free to check out some of mine.
