Minnow Votes Project, Getting More Organic Votes on Steemit To Counteract the Bots! (Project Update, Please READ!)

I've made the decision to extend the runup to the Minnow Votes Project.

For those that don't know what that is, but would like to see more organic votes on Steemit, please visit this post here.

I'd forgotten about a family event we're holding at our house this evening, and in addition to feeling like we need more support to get started, I simply cannot devote the time to it today that I would like.

I apologize if this seems in any way disingenuous, I assure you, it is not. But, if I'm going to ask all of you to put your names on something, I want it to attract attention. So, a little more time to organize and prepare great posts to add to our wall of links inside this post, will give us the best opportunity.

I want to make the biggest impact we can. So, the dolphinschool profile will be dedicated to talking this up this next week. Anyone willing to, please resteem those posts, and share wherever possible. I've got a couple of ideas of how to get more voters interested in our project. To THAT END I'll be posting this on my blog at @markrmorrisjr and on @dolphinschool. If you want, you can copy and paste any of this post into a post on your own blog. Let's establish a #minnowvotesproject tag. Please use it as a tag in ANY and ALL promotions. It doesn't have to be the first tag, but if you add it, we can search for and support each other.

Here are a few ideas of how we can work on this over the next week.

  1. I think we can do better on a Dmania takeover with a few days to get it together. It did have some impact, though, good job!
  2. We could stage articles into a single tag, such as "community" on this project and our reasons for wanting more organic voting.
  3. If we spent some time daily, inviting new users into this project, even though the votes aren't worth much, we could add huge numbers to it.
  4. My discord channel is still not large enough to effectively communicate with everyone. If you haven't signed up for it yet, you can do that here. The link is set to not expire. You can share it.
  5. We need to make sure everyone is on the same page and three days is not enough time to get that done. Not everyone is on the platform daily, and many don't know how to check their mentions.

I'll add more details to the project on my blog and on @dolphinschool today and tomorrow, suggesting some things we can do.

Here is the key to this. If we do it right, everyone in this project will get upvotes, new followers and more attention to their blogs. Trust me on this, I've done it already and it works!

For those not familiar with the #dolphinschool bootcamp posts, You might want to find and read them to get a picture of what I mean. For this to work, each of us needs to curate at least a few others in addition to promoting our own posts in various ways.

If you do this, you can expect growth. If we get 20, 30, or 50 or more working with us each day to talk about it, and every post adds the names of those participating, you will see a surge in traffic, followers and upvotes! This week could boost all of us a bit.

The @dolphinschool profile will be dedicated to this project for the next week. I'll share tips on how to carry out the various daily projects so that you get the most out of it!

If you're creative, you can do this, while still conducting your normal posting. It does not need to take over your blog. In fact, I'd highly recommend you create footers for your regular content, to add to EVERY post you make for this project. ALWAYS use your own posts to cross promote your own content. It's just smart and take almost no time once it is set up.

That's pretty much all I've got to add at this time. I'll be putting up a video this afternoon, and possibly live streaming about it for a bit. But, this evening, I'll be out of touch, spending time with family.
