As a Community Witness I am very keen to help the community.
I am therefore launching my CommunityAction (@communityaction) program to work in three areas.
Those areas will be offchain charitable projects, onchain developments and support for new communities.
Offchain Projects
This will be something of a rebirth of my A Dollar A Day project (@adollaraday) that was most active in 2018/19.
The focus will be on providing direct assistance to charitable, humanitarian and sustainable development projects.
I am particularly keen to support solar and other renewable energy projects, and organic growing projects, as well as more general health and education activities.
The first project that I will be supporting is the Solar Steem project that @ubongudofot organises for World Smile Project in Nigeria.
Onchain Projects
In this area I am looking to support innovative projects that are expanding, developing and promoting the Steem blockchain.
These might be technical development projects or marketing and promotion projects that need early stage support to get established.
The first project I will be supporting is the Steem Marketing Project being run by @pollito22, along with @o1eh, @heriadi and @minikay.
Communities
Communities can play a great role in the growth and vibrancy of the Steem platform.
But it can be hard for new communities to get established.
I will be on the lookout for young communities that I can assist with their growth and development.
More details on the type of communities I want to help, and how I will be able to help them, will be presented in a separate post shortly.
How CommunityAction will be able to help
Through the @pennsif, @pennsif.witness and @communityaction accounts I will be able to provide voting, delegations and small grants.
I will also be able to provide promotion through Steem News, and via 6000+ followers.
Mentoring and advice will also be provided if required.

I plan to use at least a half of my witness earnings to fund the CommunityAction program. As I move up the witness rankings the resources for CommunityAction will grow.
