MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE?
100% of Steem Power earned by this post will be delegated to @travelfeed. Your upvotes will help to support the mighty Travelfeed.io platform and its amazing community. Keep in mind that the only way @travelfeed uses its Steem Power is to manually curate best #travelfeed posts. It is not a secret that Travelfeed.io is home to some of the best quality content in whole Steem ecosystem. Smash that UpVote button!
WHAT IS TRAVELFEED.IO?
Travelfeed.io is a global community of independent travelers, where it’s easy to meet new people and find information, and where bloggers can monetize high-quality posts. With full-scale manual curation, Travelfeed.io makes sure that the best posts get the visibility they deserve, often months or even years after they’ve been published. Content is monetized through the Steem Blockchain where creators get rewarded with cryptocurrency.
Since February 2018, the Travelfeed.io team has curated over 11,000 travel posts on Steem, rewarding over $100,000 to authors using the tag #travelfeed. One of the reasons why I believe in this project so much is the team behind it. These guys are passionate travelers and travel bloggers themselves. For example, Jürgen Horn @for91days has been making a living as a travel blogger for over 10 years and knows the industry in and out.
The content is manually curated by @smeralda and @elsaenroute. Discord community is moderated by @wanderlass and Steemitworldmap-curator @livinguktaiwan. The main developer behind this project is Julian Peters @jpphotography. He is a full-stack developer and budget traveler. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Information Systems (computer science and business administration) at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences in Germany. However, some time ago he realized he will have to take a break from university studies to be able to develop the platform full time.
TRAVELFEED.IO TOKENS AND OTHER COOL STUFF!
Can't wait to know more about their plans to launch Travelfeed token and reasons to delegate your Steem Power to @travelfeed?
I highly recommend reading Travelfeed's recent update posts:
- Introducing TravelFeed BETA
- Important Updates v1.2
- Important Updates v1.3
- Tutorial: Follow the TravelFeed Curation Trail on Steemauto!
My personal experience with this platform has been very positive. I managed to write 3 long articles in two weeks. Those three posts alone earned me 58.65$ or 240 STEEM (+19.1$ for the curators). Keep in mind I did not use bid bots or any other type of tools. All three articles were upvoted by @travelfeed, @jpphotography, @for91days, and other curators. They were also noticed by @curie, @blocktrades, @ocd, @c-cubed, @mariusfebruary, @tombstone, and other Steemit legends. Is it worth to use Travelfeed.io? Decide for yourself.
WINNER OF THE TRAVEL WRITING CONTEST NO.1
The total Prize Pool of "T.W. Contest No. 1" was 120 STEEM. 100 STEEM for the winner and 1 STEEM each for 2nd-21st. It is impossible to express how hard it was to choose the best travel story. All articles were unique and incredibly difficult to compare. However, I reached my final decision and it is time to announce the winner. And the winner is...
The Khmerican Family Abroad | #2 - The Great Ecuador Exodus Pt. 1! by @justinparke! 100 STEEM! <Read>
It is a stunning story about one American guy and his Cambodian family trying to find their place under the sun. Justin doesn't like headers (H1, H2, etc.), he writes in kilometer-long paragraphs, he is a great photographer, but his camera is not as good as its owner and yet, there is something magical here...
Justin's story has the ability to remind the reader what being a traveler truly means. It means that sometimes your day might consist of 99% pain and only 1% joy, but at the end of the day that 1% pays off! Happiness lies in details and a little bit of patience and trust in invisible forces of the universe help those who do not give up!
My wife and kids are Cambodian citizens, and they are now all too accustomed to devastating news in the form of visa denials and being prohibited from boarding flights. These problems generally have something to do with their Cambodian citizenship, either directly or indirectly, no matter how politically correct and convoluted the words are delivered to us at the moment[...]
Dear Justin, I would like to tell you that you and your beautiful family are always welcome to visit us here in #Lithuania. I am extremely happy that such an amazing person like you decided to join this contest and I hope it is not the last time. As I have already mentioned before, you are the winner of 100 Steem and by the time you read this, it should already be in your wallet. Thank you for being with us!
By the way, if you would like me to share a few thoughts about making some improvements in order to make your articles more profitable and more popular on @travelfeed I would be more than happy to help. If you would like to discuss some options just contact me on Discord or Facebook! I truly believe that your stories have the potential to become very popular in this cohesive community!

Marilyn Rabbitgirl and Paparazzi Dog are the work of Gillie and Marc, a husband and wife team who create in harmony to produce fine, contemporary works such as this. An extremely talented couple; Gillie and Marc have used inspired imagery to draw on and have incorporated the powerful connection between man and animal to produce many amazing dog/human hybrid creations.
How about Hobart? by @trudeehunter! <Read>
Some authors used #travelfeed instead of http://travelfeed.io to post their articles. This time it's ok, but please, keep in mind that in order to participate in the Travel writing contest No. 2 you must use the platform. These authors got 1 Steem each too.

I think the word "Dervish" has a Persian origin with references to "door" and in our tradition and folklore it literally means a person who walks from door to door. So is the mission of the barbarian dervishes - to drive away evil from every house, in order to give way to good and light. Some people believe the dervishes have supernatural abilities and can perform miracles. All this is folklore, of course! But who knows...

This contest thing is getting big! It is unbelievable, but the last contest post got resteemed 70 times! I will keep these contests rolling for as long as I can, but I could use your help too. As you already know, they are funded mostly from my own pocket. If you decide to follow my curation trail using http://steemauto.com, that would be a great help! This would benefit you too because after the HF21 curation rewards will be twice higher!
Yours,
Tautvydas! (Tot)
