DnW Poetry Contest #6 New Theme and Announcement of Winners!!

Please forgive me for this delay
For not posting the results immediately
Since I had no chance to read your entry right away

The week had been so bloody
My body and mind is drained yet heavy
For a task needs to be completed perfectly

Oh my! How many times did I ask for an apology?
Still, hoping you'll join again in this poetry
For a new theme will be announced today.

Now, all the entries are written beautifully
But only five shall be put unto array.
So let's give them our big and warm congratulatory!

FIRST

Temptation

She broke the silence,
With only a pair of stiletto.
A tempting pretense,
A present wrapped without a lasso.

A gentleman gazed,
At the beauty of hard-earned labor.
His dreams were staged,
Submitting naked for his honor.

He pulled her closer,
Like a suitor waiting for her 'yes.'
She can't see him clear,
But she's dumb; hoping love in this bliss.

He said, "I love you,"
In sweet tune to pet her in a dungeon.
"Sure, I love you too."
But lust is mere infatuation.

SECOND

The Man in Black

I can still remember that night
When he first came into my sight
A man in black with a hint of gold
He was so tall, charming and bold

Since then I kept coming back
Hoping to see him again, the man in black
I really don’t like it, this childish feeling
But I had to admit, I was deeply crushing

Sometimes I’d see him looking at me
I was in doubt.. was it just imaginary?
Already contented that this is fantasy
Until finally, he approached me directly

It will take hours to tell our whole story
But summing it up, it’s now our 2nd anniversary 🙂
Funny how one night can change our lives
Yes, infatuation often fades, but sometimes it survives.

THIRD

Under A Tree's Shade

Your fragrance dances on my face;
my skin craves your tight embrace,
I try to hide; I am blushing red -
blood is rushing through my head.

Wrapped in warmth, my heart flutters.
My body freezes; my mouth stutters.
You create a paradox within my spine,
oh, how I wish you could be mine.

Inside a safety box, I store
the truth: it is you whom I adore.
I am a coward; I am weak.
my life without you seems bleak.

There is no future in which I see
your manly arms holding me.
I lie in a tree's cool shade,
all alone, letting my dreams fade.

FOURTH

The Drunk Lass

She was drunk at that night of blue,
Confessing she fell for him she knew it was true.
Another glass of liquor she poured to gulp she got no cue.
Almost a year passed still he has no clue.

It was May when it all began,
She got teased, they bicker and swore she'll revenge she can.
It was simply childish she thought, but it was sort of a warn.
She fell in the trap with a throbbing heart she dreamed of him her man.

Day by day she got hauled by an emotion,
One glimpse of him turned into an extraordinary motion.
It was odd to love his imperfections,
It was odder to feel, to lift, to exalt every of his notion.

She was drunk at that one divulging night.
Words she kept blabbered she thought she had moved on and lose of sight,
She somehow wanted to hold him tight,
Head was down with feelings drown, "That was just an infatuation, right?"

FIFTH

A Secret Admirer's Non-Verbatim

One, two, three, "oh! she glances at me at the count of four!" 👀
Five, six, seven, eight, she's very graceful on the dance floor 💘
Eight, seven, six, five, "Girl, I'm so attracted to your glamour" 😍
Four, three, two, one, as the music fades, I keep asking for more! 😱

I really wanna ask her, "May I have this dance?" 💭
How I wish! But I never actually had the chance 😳
As of now, All I can do is watch you from a distance.. 👁
whispering words, "Oh Girl, Happy Valentines in Advance" 💝

She's a good dancer, that's why I really like her 👍
I followed her everywhere, on facebook, instagram and twitter.🐦
I don't know what to say so I just sent her a sticker 😍
I waited but still seen zoned, seven days later... 📅

So I decided to just send you a bouquet of flower 🌷
with a note "From your handsome secret admirer" 📝
By the way, It comes with a box of Ferrero Rocher 🍫
I hope you'll like it, if not, "nevermind, it doesn't matter" .😉
