Have you ever been to the planet they call Utopia…

-Have you ever heard of the planet they call Utopia?

Break C the silence while admiring the round window of his friend house, with a bored look in his eyes.
V took a sip from his glass of wine and it was easy to see on his face that he was trying to recall that name through memories. It seems difficult though, so it kept silent while he was putting the glass back on the beautiful, filled with arabesque patterns coffee table which was fitting perfectly with the rest of ancient furniture of the living room.

-I am certain that you have heard at least a few times about it! Tried C to rush out an answer.

Both of them forgot already how many aeons passed since their friendship begun, and today it was just another peaceful afternoon with nothing interesting to talk about

-Yeah, I heard this name once or twice. Managed to say V.
-Is not a place in that multi-dimensional game, called The Universe? What is the big deal about it?

V knew how to tease his friend, but this time he was honest, the name of Utopia it was familiar, yet that was all the knowledge he had on the subject.

-Well, I was researching something else and this popped out. Basically is just one from the infinite list of games in The Universe, but it is having a few unique characteristics I never bumped in before.

V became all of sudden really interested. C was avoiding at all times the use of words like unique. So this was big, and of course, he has to take care, “again” of his friend. It was not the first time when C was endangering his own existence upon his excessive curiosity.

But as usual, being careful and collecting the right information was an essential first step. So he made himself more comfortable in the big leather armchair and lighted a cannabis cigarette. Preparing in this way for what seems to be a quite special afternoon.

-Alright, hit me with all you got!

With a triumphal look in his eyes, C started his talk. Talking was at the very core of his existence and there was nothing which could make him happier than a good listener, and V was one of the best.

-Utopia is at the first glance just an ordinary Role Playing Game. You are choosing and setting up your character, also you can choose some of the main quest and checkpoints, mostly like any other RPG.

-Hmm, how this got in your attention then? Asked V. After all, C was never a passionate gamer.
-You know the Light Elite of Existence, right? We all know them!
-Aham, not only that, but I would love to be one of them as well. I do not even know what you have to do to get among them though! Replied V, with quite a sad face.

-Exactly, me too! And this is how I got to Utopia. Every one of the members of the Light Elite it is having maximum points in this game.

-Wait a minute!* V sprung from his armchair confused.* Emmanuel is the newest member, and he went to the Elite fokin ages ago.*
V light up another joint, it was genuinely intrigued about this.
-Are you telling me people does not know about this or what?

-Ugh, it is a bit more complicated. But have a bit of patience, I will explain it to you.
It seems that Utopia is one of the first planet games created in The Universe.

-Wow, that's really an old game then.

-And that is also true, but not only. It is very popular in some certain circles as well. The main objective of this game is to select the members of the Light Elite of Existence. Those who are making the rules of the entire Existence!

-Do you want me to believe that the members of the Elite are selected through a simple fokin game?!

-Yes, my friend, just keep in mind, this is not a simple game at all! Allow me to tell you why.
First of all, there is a key rule which makes this game unique But first I would like to ask you something.
Did you ever heard about The Lost Ones?

-Come on bruh! We both know this is just a children story, my parents were telling me about The Lost Ones every time I was going in The Universe to play games. “ Be careful, or you will get lost playing games for the whole eternity” were they saying. Even though The Universe it has that security measure and you get logged out after a while, so it practically impossible for that to happen.

-Yes, and you are right. Only the thing is, Utopia skips that security measure, it is embedded in the game rules.
We will get there in a moment.

-Alright, just get to it already! Replied V impatiently.

-Let start with the beginning.
The name Utopia it means a perfect world, which is total nonsense. As perfection itself it is subjective, and because it ca not be perfect for everybody at the same time. The same reason we have the Eternal Rules. So, on this planet, there can be a perfect life for a small part at the cost of the suffering for the rest.

-Mhmh, it makes sense, still, I do not get it.

-Well, wait to hear the rules of the game first.
In order to finish the game and to log out you have to get a minimum amount of points at the end of the cycle (life). This is a very complicated process to explain, and I will try to do it later on. However, if you do not collect enough points, things become harder. you are going to start a new cycle, but your character and the place on the map will be allocated to you based on the previous results.
This is where The Lost Ones appear, some of them are in the game for hundreds, even thousands of cycles.

-Come on, no matter how hard a game may be. After a few dozens, anyone can collect enough points I suppose.

-Not really! Another rule is that you start every cycle without any memory about who you are, what are you doing there, not even that you are playing a game. You see now, it is quite tricky.

-How can you play the game then?

-That is the whole idea! The game is designed in that way to get your real nature outside. Of course, in the game are all kinds of clues and guides who can help you, but they are also mixed up.

-I see, anyway, what is the connection with the Utopia name?

-Because in this game you have free will. Which means you can do whatever you want and choose to.
For instance, you can gather power and resources by using other players. You can live an opulent life, full of luxury on behalf of other players. you can even seek pleasure in the suffering of others. nothing is forbidden for real in Utopia.
Everything you do is going to affect your final score though.

-That is a lot more clear now. Would you please give me more details about how the scoring works?

-Why not? Let say that, the first time when you start the game, you choose an easy ride. Like a rich person, with lots of influence and in a place on the map where everything is nice and quiet. Do not believe that is going to give you more chances. Oh, how silly that will be!

-Why?

-Well, the in-game avatar it is having about half on the control of your action as it has some mental and physical needs to cover.
If you let yourself be controlled by those needs and desires, for example: Getting rich at any cost, even trafficking organs taken out from children in the war zones. The next cycle you get to be one of those children.
Another example will be like follows. You are in the second or no matter what cycle by now and having a mediocre life. Not so-so, not too-too. And you are working in a non-verbal, maybe insane people institution. If you decide to abuse some of the patients in some way, like sexual or another form. I mean, who is going to believe them after all, right?
Yep, guess how your next cycle will be like?

-Wow, stop right there bruh! Are you telling me, this is allowed in the game, doing that to other players?

-Yes, it is Utopia, remember? Everything you can imagine, even more than that is possible, and it happens in the game all the time! Torture, slavery, nonsense wars, etc. .
That is why is so easy to get stuck in this game forever!

Less than 10% of all the players managed to finish the game. And there you find the same reason why only those with the maximum points can be The Light Elite of Existence and make The Rules!
