Terror in the waters of Queensland

John is a 38 years old Man with strong and dominant character who lives in the rural community near Queensland in a modest house with his wife and two children, from a young age he learned to work in wildlife, hunting and fishing is common in that place; a very small town where there was not much fun, people usually set to take the weekends to share among families as a hobby.

Very close to the village there is a huge river where wildlife abounds, John and his father used to go fishing in the morning in their old boat, always returned home in the evenings, those were the time when they both enjoyed together as a father and son for many years. In the morning of September 10th of this year, John's father was preparing his fishing gear to pick up his son as usual, but John had a compromise that prevented him from accompanying his father, he had gone to the city with his wife to do some shopping, reason by which the gentleman went alone to do his fishing work.

The Man peacefully sits in his boat waiting for the fish to bite, uncovers a beer while waiting for the fish; hours pass and suddenly he feels a strong pull in the reed; very happy thought that he had caught a big fish, he starts to force himself to pull and when he gets up on the boat he loses his balance because of the effort he made and falls into the water; in the moment of despair he tries to climb the boat, but since he was old and without strength it was difficult to defend himself, suddenly felt something grabbed him by a leg from the depth of the river, he was frightened and desperately tried to escape, but that animal was much bigger and stronger than him.

The huge crocodile dragged him to the depth, he tried to swim desperately to the shore, but the strength of the animal was superior and the old man ended drowned and devoured by the immense reptile; after a few hours a city policeman visited the house of John to give him the terrible news of his father's death, that night John was filled with feelings, and a huge guilt invaded his mind feeling the loss of his father as his responsibility. The news of the incident was sprinkled like gunpowder by the small town, made the habitants aware of the presence of the crocodile that threatened the river, therefore, the tranquility was in danger.

The authorities and environmental protection agencies feared that people would organize an indiscriminate hunt that could alter the wildlife and river ecosystem. Fear became a reality, a hunting formed and one morning they caught and killed the huge crocodile. Australian officials on hearing of the incident issued the alert to all users of the river as the younger will become increasingly aggressive because of the power vacuum left by the 17-foot giant.

As police look for the gunman who shot the huge 100-year-old saltwater animal, they said this will cause panic in the Fitzroy River in Queensland. The Department of Environment and State Heritage Protection issued a warning to the public to be more vigilant after the illegal killing of the species. John after the death of the crocodile was aware that he would be sought, which is why he decided to talk to all those who formed the hunting team to cover up the incident. Although peace would take some time to return to the village, John's pain never disappeared.
