Belilah Ketika Merah, Juallah Saat Hijau: Cryptocurrency
Dalam beberapa hari terakhir, hampir semua jenis cryptocurrency bewarna merah dalam perdagangan. Seorang teman mengatakan salah satu penyebabnya adalah pernyataan tertulis Bank Indonesia yang kembali melarang cryptocurrency sebagai alat pembayaran. Meski itu bukan peringatan pertama (dan saya yakin juga bukan peringatan terakhir), pasar bereaksi terlalu khawatir dengan ancaman tersebut.
Saya tidak sepakat. Maksudnya, tidak sepakat bahwa merahnya hampir semua jenis crypto (saya hanya trading di vip.botcoin.co.id dengan 21 jenis crypto) karena peringatan tersebut. Sebab, penentuan naik turunnya harga bukan saja karena kondisi ekonomi dan kebijakan otoritas keuangan di sebuah negara, apalagi di Indonesia. Salah satu ciri khas perdagangan cryptocurrency adalah desentralisasi, tidak terikat dengan sistem keuangan negara mana pun, tidak terkait dengan otoritas keuangan negara mana pun.
Memang , pada awal Januari lalu pemerintah Korea Selatan mengumumkan rencana pelarangan bitcoin dan berbagai jenis cryptocurrency lainnya. Berita itu memang sempat membuat harga sejumlah crypto anjok, tetapi dua hari kemudian sudah naik lagi. Pekan kedua Oktober 2017 lalu, Gubernur BI Agus Martowardjojo, juga pernah mengingatkan soal larangan dan tindakan perdagangan cryptocurrency, tapi pernyataan itu sama sekali tidak berpegaruh. Harga bitcoin pada saat itu malah melonjak tinggi.
Itu yang pertama.Kedua, kita harus melihat kondisi yang ditampilkan sebuah pasar bukanlah situasi yang terjadi di Indonesia. Bukan grafik transaksi di Indonesia semata, tetapi dunia. Jadi, itu bukanlah dampak dari situasi ekonomi dan politik domestik, melainkan kondisi pasar cryptocurrency yang bisa jadi terkait dengan psikologis terdagangan komoditas tetapi bisa juga tidak.
Psikologis yang rumit
kondisi psikologis pemain di cryptocurrency memang jauh lebih rumit untuk dianalisis dibandingkan dengan kondisi psikologis di pasar saham. Analisis teknikal dan fundamental lebih sulit diprediksi ke mana arahnya. Misalnya, memasuki 2018 diprediksi bitcoin bisa mencapai 50 ribu USD, yang ternyata malah turun tajam.

Semua orang tahu aturan itu untuk mendapatkan profit, meski ada juga yang terpaksa melakukan cut lost, atau menjual dengan nilai lebih rendah dibandingkan saat membeli.
Ini seperti di pasar saham juga. Ketika semua cryptocurrency bewarna merah, seharusnya saat inilah berinvestasi. Namun, ketika sudah hijau nanti, langsung menjual kalau sudah mendapatkan profit. Harus dilihat nilai aset saat membeli, ketika hijau tidak selalu sudah profit sebab bisa jadi hijau baru bergerak naik dari nilai rendah sebelumnya, tetapi masih berada di bawah nilai saat kita membeli. Kalau kondisinya seperti itu, aset harus ditahan sampai memberikan profit (kecuali ada alasan lain yang lebih fundamental sehingga harus menjual meski rugi, misalnya untuk mencegah kerugian yang lebih besar atau ada kebutuhan mendesak).
Cara mudah melihat hijau yang sudah memberikan keuntungan atau belum adalah dengan melihat riwayat transaksi atau bisa juga melalui grafik.
Tetap waspada
Bagi yang suka trading cryptocurrency, kewaspadaan tetap harus berada di urutan pertama saat berinvestasi. Itulah sebabnya perlu untuk mengelola aset dengan tidak berinvestasi terlalu tinggi, sehingga ketika anjlok, kerugian tidak terlalu dalam.
Prinsip saya di trading cryptocurrency: bermainlah dengan keuntungan kecil. Ketika nilai potensial aset saat ini turun hampir 50 persen, saya tidak panik sebab seluruh nilai aset adalah keuntungan dan bukan modal. Bahkan sudah mencairkan dan menikmati keuntungan. Jadi, tidak terlalu galau dengan fluktuatif harga. Prinsipnya, belajar dengan risiko terendah.
