Eligible Ethereum holders will get free TRON (TRX) as a show of appreciation of TRON developers to the platform.

TRON (TRX) started out as an ERC20 token on Ethereum but has set out to have its own blockchain which will be released on the 21st of the month of June.

The development team acknowledges that the Ethereum played a vital role in TRON’s early stage development but quick to point out that there are many issues and bottlenecks that needed to be addressed which they seek to resolve themselves through their own Blockchain.

Recipients of the TRON airdrop are those with 1 ETH and above and will be given a randomize amount of TRON ranging from 10-100 TRX.

One of the lesser known Canadian cryptocurrency exchange, Coinfield have announce that they are increasing their crypto listing this year.

This is part of their strategy in 2018 to attract new customers and increase their overall trading volume.

Canadian crypto enthusiast relies heavily on OTC trading which has seen a spike in their trading volume recent weeks indicating a healthy demand.

Local exchanges and trading platform needs improve their offerings to remain competitive.

Babak Bob Ras, CEO of Coinfield, states that his company is fully aware of which coins are the most desirable however his company needs to make sure that the coins that they are offering are commodities and not securities to comply with government laws.

Which coins will be listed remains a mystery as the crypto company has not released any details of what will be listed in their exchange.

Commission Free Trading Platform Robinhood Releases Colorado

As part of their state-by-state rollout, Robinhood, a commission free trading platform from Palo Alto, California has launched its Trading application in Colorado.

Robinhood announced their planned expansion in twitter.

Colorado joins the other few states the platform has already rolled-out which include California, Massachusetts, Missouri and Montana.

Robinhood is a free cryptocurrency trading app where users can buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum.

No word had been release if they plan to support other cryptocurrencies.

They do offer a premium account which they called Robinhood Gold which has a flat rate charge and higher deposit limits.

Amazon Company Releases Framework For Blockchain And Hyperledger

After rumors that Amazon Web Services will not be releasing any block-chain related services, the Amazon company has announced in its blog post last Thursday, April 19, 2018 that they are releasing Blockchain framework for Ethereum (ETH) and Hyperledger Fabric.

This project will allow users to develop and manage Blockchain-powered decentralize applications.

The Ethereum Blockchain was founded by Vitalik Buterin in 2014 as an alternative bitcoin cryptocurrencies with additional features such as the “smartcontracts.”

Hyperledger was founded in 2015 by the Linux Foundation which serves as an umbrella project of open source blockchains and related tools.
Aside from Amazon other industry giants have initiated Hyperledger such as Huawei and IBM.

On the other hand NASA intents to develop Ethereum Blockchain applications that will be used for deep space navigation.

Bithumb To Release Its Own Cryptocurrency In Switzerland

The biggest cryptocurrency of South Korea in terms of transaction volume Bithumb, has announced that it will release its own cryptocurrency Bithumb Coin later this year.

The company revealed that its coin will be released in two types.

However no other information was released about its structure or its purpose.

The company however emphasizes that they are targeting institutional investors and large-scale investment firms.

A ban on ICO by South Korean Financial Service Commission (FSC) has prompted many companies that intend to have an ICO to look elsewhere such as Kakao, the largest internet conglomerate in South Korea.
