Ethereum Classic Will Have A Fork Snapshot Next Week

A snapshot fork called Callisto (CLO) will happen next week and holders of ETC will receive free CLO coins at 1:1 ratio.

Callisto will be an exact copy of Ethereum Classic blockchain up until 5,500,000th block but the following blocks will be its own already which are believed to have better smart contract security.

According to Callisto's whitepaper, ETC is at risk to smart contract hacks and CLO is creating an 'Official Smart-contract Auditing Department of both CLO and ETC' so we can assume that Callisto may be considered as an extension to Ethereum Classic community.

The principal goal of Callisto is to study and develop a reference implementation of self-governed, self-sustaining, self-funded blockchain ecosystem and development environment.
