Brazil Looks To Ethereum As A Solution To Its Popular Petition Problem

Popular petitions is a way of allowing people in Brazil to present referendums or legislation to the Brazilian congress.

If 1% of the total population (which is 1.45 million citizens) signed a certain petition, then it is presented to congress.

However, the current system used in transporting and verifying them is already inefficient and outdated.

An initiative has been presented where Ethereum blockchain goes into the picture.

The entire process will be ran through the blockchain such as storing and recording of signatures, which makes it possible to easily verify the authenticity of the signatures.


NYSE Files To List Five Leveraged Bitcoin ETFs

Recently, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has filed to list 5 bitcoin exchange-traded funds which will track the price of Bitcoin on its Arca trading platform.

The funds will be titled: 1.25X Bull, Bear 1X, 2X Bull, 1.5X Bull and 2X Bear, and will be launched under Direxion Daily banner.

Once approved, this funds will allow investors to achieve outsized gains versus investing directly in the bitcoin futures markets.
