Japan's Most Well-Known Chat App Line Could Soon Integrate Crytptocurrencies

With over 168 million active monthly users, Line, the most popular chat app in Japan could soon integrate cryptocurrencies.

The company is currently working on the possibility to integrate cryptocurrencies into its mobile payment service, Line Pay.

It is currently in discussions with a number of cryptocurrency related companies for payment services.

Line's goal is to develop products around the chat application to keep users within its ecosystem which will increase 'stickiness'.


Japan's New Cryptocurrency Exchange, DMM, Has Launched With Seven Cryptocurrencies

DMM Group, an e-commerce and entertainment giant in Japan has launched its cryptocurrency exchange which supports seven cryptocurrencies and fourteen trading pairs.

As an opening promo, the exchange gives away 1,000 yen to all users who signed up a new account from January 11 to March 11.

The exchange is accessible through PC and Android or iOS mobile devices.

The seven supported cryptocurencies are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Nem, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple.

DMM is also planning to launch another exchange this spring for inexperienced investors.
