Ashton Kutcher And Ripple Donated 4M USD On Ellen DeGeneres’s Wildlife Fund

Ashton Kutcher who is both an actor and venture capitalist has teamed up with cryptocurrency startup ripple to make a surprise donation to Ellen DeGeneres’ Wildlife Fund.

The actor made the surprise donation in front of a live audience on nationally televised talk show of Ellen.

Instead of making the donation in the traditional way of showing a big check as a symbol of the donation, Ashton made the transaction during the show using his smartphone and sent $4M USD the Fund and let Ellen initiate the transaction with just a top of her finger to trigger the remittance.

Ashton is a bitcoin bull and have invested in other cryptocurrency initiative before.

Ripple on the other hand have been donating millions to non-profit organizations in recent months.

IBM TO Create 1,800 Jobs For Blockchain, AI and IoT In Two Years

In a summit, called Tech for Good in France, IBM CEO Virginia Rometty has announced that the Tech giant will create 1,800 jobs in France in the field of AI, Blockchain and IoT.

This is in line with their strategy of making France a “Center of Excellence” that will fill-in the much needed talent for the said industries.

IBM have been making its presence felt in Blockchain.

It partnered with Maersk to create a Blockchain-based shipping and supply chain venture last January.

In March, IBM revealed a Blockchain-powered microcomputer “cryptographic anchors” that they believe will be embedded in everyday objects and devices.

Two of the biggest players in the initiative of cleaning up cryptocurrency space of dead or inactive cryptocurrency projects have joined forces.

In doing so the two initiatives can more effectively and efficiently achieve their purpose and allow the users of both platforms to leverage their tools and data.

This will enable each other’s communities to quickly identify dead crypto and initiate the cleanup process.

This is a prime example of two great initiatives teaming up to pool resources to achieve a common goal that is beneficial to the crypto community at large.

Tom Lee Cites Three Factor To Support $25,000 Price Prediction

Cryptocurrency bull and co-founder of Funstrat Tom Lee still believes that the price of Bitcoin will surpass previous all-time high price citing three factors to strengthen his position and attributing the recent market slump to typical crypto volatility.

First, Tom Lee believes that the production cost is at parity with trading price.

Second institutional investors has not fully entered into crypto space due to regulatory uncertainty.

Lastly, he said that historical trend shows that bitcoin’s price can be down 25% but always bounce back and can move to new historical highs.

Bank Of America Awarded With New US Blockchain Patent

The Bank of America is said to have been awarded patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for system that uses time stamp and Security tokens that enables designated users to have access specific data blocks found in a Blockchain.

The patents state that there will be three components of the system namely: digital tagging for referencing specific blocks, security token to regulate access and time stamps that can be used to restrict access at certain period of time.

Bank of America has been of the leading financial institution in securing patents to a wide range of financial use cases.

It has done so in the hope that wat they patent today might be useful in the future.
