1- The Bermuda Monetary Authority has issued a consultation paper on draft regulations pertaining to “virtual currency businesses” and initial coin offerings (ICOs). The proposed bill seeks to create a framework that encourages and fosters the development of Bermuda’s nascent cryptocurrency industry.
2 - China-based online marketplace Taobao, founded by e-commerce giant Alibaba updated their policy. The platform has banned cryptocurrencies, ICO's (initial coin offerings) and other virtual currency-related services from its platform.
3 - Cryptocurrency exchange platform Golix has decided to install a Bitcoin and Litecoin ATM in Harare. Zimbabwe has a growing interest for cryptocurrencies as well as other countries in the region.
4 - Hackers are leveraging an IIS 6.0 vulnerability to take over Windows servers and install a malware strain that mines the Electroneum cryptocurrency.
Attacks aren't widespread, as they target a quite old IIS version, but they are happening at scale.
5 - Bank of Lithuania, the country’s central bank, is reportedly opening up to cryptocurrencies, as it recently initiated a dialog between cryptocurrency traders, commercial banks, and government regulators in the country. Reportedly, the country is looking to become a fintech hub.
