Introducing 'Blockchain Centre' - CEO Offers Opportunity For Steemians To Educate Globally About Steem & Blockchain Tech

Several years ago I spoke with my old friend (of 20+ years) Martin Davidson and he told me he had relocated to Australia and was wondering what to do with his savings. He decided to invest in Bitcoin when it was very low priced and then went on to co-initiate Australia's Bitcoin community. Today he is CEO of 'Blockchain Centre' and deals with world leaders as he spreads word about blockchain technology and sets up training/work hubs around our world. Recently I spoke with him about Steem...

If you'd have told me when I was 16 that I would now be discussing the global collaboration of large groups of people regarding digital currency with my friend Martin as he himself negotiates with world leaders and I develop systems that make the process easier - I would have laughed.. A lot. :)

The fact though is that this is exactly the situation I find myself in and the rapid rise of Bitcoin and other cryptos has meant that many have created amazing opportunities - both for themselves and the world as a whole.

When I spoke with Martin, maybe only 3/4 years ago, he was wondering whether to get into Bitcoin and I was telling him that, as an engineer for banking systems, I thought cryptocurrency was a good idea - but that it just doesn't go far enough to solve our world's problems so I wasn't going to get involved with it. Today though, I can't avoid crypto and it forms a significant part of my life - being as I blog so much here and am considering adding an SMT to my own social network soon too. Martin, however, threw himself into Bitcoin whole heartedly and never looked back.

Martin started out with a Bitcoin ATM company in Australia and made connections in the industry at a time when few had heard of Bitcoin at all. Today he is CEO of 'Blockchain Centre' which is a physical organisation that educates about and facilitates Blockchain technology globally.

He aims to have many centres around the world in the next few years and already has several set up in far flung regions.

From the Blockchain Centre's website:

The Blockchain Centre is the world’s first not for profit Blockchain Technology community hub and coworking space.

As a not for for profit, the purposes of the association are to:

To promote and assist with the education, adoption and growth of the Blockchain ecosystem and provide resources to entrepreneurs and startups through use of our Blockchain co working space and community hub.

As the leading Blockchain community and knowledge hub in Australia, Blockchain Centre aims to help individuals, schools, universities, small business, corporations, not for profits, charities, city councils and all areas of local, federal and overseas governments to better understand Blockchain technology and connect these organisations; and create opportunities for the Blockchain Centre startup community.

Blockchain Centre is proud to be sponsored and partner with two of the world’s leading leading and influential Blockchain Technology companies, Blockchain Global and IBM.

Opportunity for Steem!

After informing Martin of the many benefits of Steem and it's ecosystem, he has agreed to work with Steemit Inc. and any Steemian advocates who want to work from the Blockchain Centres or use them to educate blockchain enthusiasts through talks, classes and any other viable avenues.

The Blockchain Centre has connections to governments, schools and other institutions - which means they offer a very interesting avenue for expanding the market potential of Steem and Steemit too.

So, @ned, @dan, @roelandp & @andrarchy - let me know if this is something you want to explore and I will do what I can to assist here. Anyone else can also drop me a comment here and I'll relay any questions to Martin for him to answer ASAP.

Wishing you well,
