One of my most anticipated new projects is ICO HeadStart. I already did some posts on ICO HeadStart before and after their Pre-ICO but now that their public sale is due, I felt it was time for an update.
Originally the ICO was supposed to start in February but this was pushed backwards because of a new partnership with 8HOOK, a design and marketing agency for blockchain start-ups.
A couple of things were shuffled around, there is a new CEO and Dirk Scheeringa is now in an advisory role. Usually postponing an ICO is not a good thing but in this case it was the right thing to do.
It shows that ICO HeadStart is serious about coming out the gates strong and are not afraid to ruffle some feathers if it means improving their service.
ICO HeadStart has got a new look and also a new strategy.
ICO Headstart has a very strong selling point. The screening of ICOs which will help investors avoid potential unsafe investments. But like a lot of things in life, Looks Matter and although ICO HeadStart has a strong team, great concept and professional approach, one thing was missing and that was an effective marketing strategy.
But now the project has upped their game, they immediately updated their website and started bounty campaigns to get the the message across to the crypto community.

The website now has an even more appealing layout and the info about the project is now better detailed and explained.
ICO HeadStart™ is a platform that expertly pre-screens ICOs listing the top 3% of the most promising ICOs for you to participate in. Once we list the projects on our platform, it's up to our community to select their favourites. Here's where the ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’ kicks in! The projects that receive sufficient votes to reach their soft cap, will be successfully funded!
The main focus has shifted to the selection procedure of the ICOs. A lot of people are weary of ICOs because of the risks, although these are the investments where you can profit the most. ICO HeadStart will select the most promising ICOs for you and give them a stamp of approval.
To accomplish this they have a team of experts that are going to be screening ICOs, but ICO HeadStart also acknowledges the power of the community so what they are going to do is let the community vote on the the selected ICOs.
The ICO will start on 26 March. The target is to raise 20 million of which 11 million was already raised during the presale. There is a $500,00 Token giveaway, Click the banner to join.
ICO headstart will use a 3 step selection method (Tiers)
Reputation
Basically this is an investigation into the popularity of the ICO and their marketing mix. The way an ICO presents itself say a lot of about the project. It is also important to know how popular the ICO is with the community. Hype and interest are an important part in the future success of a coin.
Business Analysis
This is where things get serious. Most people probably are able to figure out how hot a coin is but to do a thorough business analysis will require some skills. Like any other company it is important to know how achievable their goals are. Who are they up against? Is there are demand for the services that they are offering? These are are things that matter in the success of the project. It takes time and expertise to make an analysis like this, and what better than have a team of experts do all the hard work for you?
Project Analysis
After we have the Rep and business side of things out of the way, it is time to focus on the project itself. Who are the people behind the project and what is their experience. With other words, are we talking about a team that successfully launch a project?
Then there are the white papers (oh, how I loathe to read those whitepapers!), it will be great to have someone make sense of these things. Some whitepapers are easy to read and understand but there are some out there where you need a cryptocurrency degree from MIT to even have a basic understanding of what’s going on.
Also has anyone ever bothered with the legal aspects of an ICO (I know I haven’t).
In short ICO HeadStart is going to:
1. Select the most promising ICOs
2. Give the selected ICOs a proper screening and slap a certificate on them if they pass the screening
3. Let the community decide which of the selected ICOs is going to be funded
There is one aspect about the "new attitude" that I find very interesting. ICO Headstart seems to be downplaying the whole MOAT cryptocurrency aspect of their venture.
In my opinion this is a good thing. There are a lot of ICOs that offer a lot of new and exciting services but the focus always is on the potential value of the altcoin, this leads leads to people not realizing the true value of the service. If you promote your service and downplay the altcoin that goes with it, people are more inclined to look at what the service can offer them instead of just speculating on the value of the coin.
The Public sale for the MOAT coin start on 26 March. Buying MOAT offers ICO Headstart capital which is used to fund the ICOs. Moat also gives you voting points if you want to vote for your favorite ICO. With MOAT you are investing in ICO without any risk, you will be able to buy MOAT on Exchanges and profit from the buy back program.
The concept of ICO HeadStart is still very promising and their approach until now has been very professional. I have I hopes for this blockchain startup that aims to tackle a huge problem in crypto. Even if you are not going to invest in the project, it is wise to keep an eye on their selection of ICOs.
I am not a financial adviser, to be honest most of the time I don’t know what the hell I am doing. This article is only meant to share my opinion. Always be careful when investing in cryptocurrency and never invest more than you are willing to lose.
