That Sndbox Ad for The Crypto Renaissance

Can't believe I did this. Haha. It took me hours to make it and almost didn't want to finish it but since I've already started it might as well finish and post it. And so I did.

I'll make this short.

My process was simple. I used an image of a woman and the Steem coin from Pixabay and then used my beach photo at the top. I downloaded the event logo from the contest post.

This is about the upcoming event in New York: The Crypto Renaissance. Please read details here.

So this is the reduced version of it. It's showing pixels but the original isn't like that.

The Tools

The artwork is another purely digital design. It reminded me of my graphic designer days at the office some years ago. Eherm. So these were the tools I used.

• Pixlr Mobile App (Phone)
• Adobe Photoshop (computer)
• Adobe Illustrator (computer)

The Process

Initially I thought I'd use Pixlr again to create an artwork like the one I did for IFC. The size though was a problem for the app. A 3 ft x 4 ft file size ain't gonna fit in their program. I tried to save using the actual size but failed miserably.

Years ago, I would always do a banner size at 300 dpi resolution but it took too long to finish because the file was too big that I was eventually told that we don't really need to do 300 dpi if it's for banners and such. But of course that was at the ad agency and this one is for @Sndbox.

This is the process pics when I worked on it on my computer.

So I had to transfer the background art from my phone to my old laptop then work on it from there. I put on the human figure again with a better resolution and then added the text. Omg. Suffice it to say my laptop is so not fit to work on such a big file. I was switching from Photoshop to Illustrator and waiting like forever. Hahaha.

Background was done using Pixlr. Text are mostly done on Illustrator and photo editing was done on Photoshop. I have the file in the actual size but this is the reduced size because it's too big to upload.

I actually did another version but then decided against it. Haha.

The one on the left is the first design I did. It had a Bitcoin so I had to change that...

I made a new background for the other design study on my phone then transferred it to my computer again. And this is the final output.

I need more time to edit the final one though if the design gets chosen. Anyway, what do you think? :)

XOXO,
