There were 2 gates to get to the Temple Gwan Chock Sa
The name of temple is believed to get after the name of the village.
The meaning of the name was interesting.
Gwan means 'put water'
chock means 'candle light'
Put water on candle light ? Does it have any meaning ?
I guess that it means 'put more power on candle light'
Usually Buddhist temple got their name from the cores of Buddha's teaching or specific meaning of the temple.
Even though this temple didn't follow the precedent, the meaning of Gwan Chock has enough ironical characteristics to be a name of this temple.
Candle light could be interpreted in 2 ways. One is the truth, the other is evil passions.
You put water on the light of truth to put off to get real truth, and you put water on the evil passions to remove it.

This kinds of first gate means this temple is big.
But the colors of ceiling was old and faded.
This temple must be large and powerful in the past.
But now this temple gradually lost the glory of the past.
From the first gate to next gate, there were small stores selling foods like snack and beverage.
The stores were small and old. People visiting was few.
The old woman was sitting and preparing the food to sell.
Her face without expression made me melancholy.
How long has she lived in this small place?
For what people is living ?
At the 4 heaven king gate, I paid the fee to enter into the Temple.
The old and dried firewood-like man was receiving money.
Heaven king in Buddhist temple is the protector of the Paradise.
They keep the paradise at 4 directions, east, west, south and north.
In this temple, they didn't write the number of 4 which means the directions.
I could not remember this kinds of case, so it was impressive.
There were 2 heaven kings at each side.
People passing this gate is praying for forgiving their sins
Before me one young couple passed this gate, they put some money for mercy of the kings.
The statues were not clean.
It seems that they didn't clean for a long time.
I was sorry about that.
